All that God owes us as men is that which He promised and backed by an oath - Eternal Life. Everything else that we get on the earth is an interplay of His sovereignty and mercy; thus they must be received with humility and thanksgiving, for use and not abuse (inordinate affection and definition/estimation of our value/worth).

The Gospel and Material Prosperity (Part 2)

The systems of this present world are too unjust and fickle to hinge something as divine as God's faithfulness on. God is not unfaithful because you prayed for a job or admission or promotion at work and you did not get it. His faithfulness pre-dates and will outlast this world and all its components. He is faithtful not because we acquire material or natural blessings, but because He IS. And regardless of our natural estates, He is faithful.

It is a lovely Friday evening and a good time to remember:

The promise of the Gospel is not an improvement to our natural estate; it is the conversion of our soul nature from carnal to divine: full conformity to the image of the Son of God. That is why the scriptures are full of commandments for all estates of life - master, servant, rich, poor, single, married, etc.

A beautiful evening and a good time to remember the following:

1. The blessing of God is not the only means of making a man rich, but it is the only source of riches that comes with no sorrow.

2. Not every open door is a blessing from God. Some opportunities are best rejected because lucrative as they may be, they will do serious damage to the soul.

3. As a man (both male and female), your soul is highly precious. Satan does not have any issue with giving a man the whole world, as long as it is in exchange for that man's soul. The soul of a man has more worth than the whole world.

The Church is neither a political institution nor an NGO. It is not a corporate or business organization with CSR expectations; thus, her primary obligation is not to provide humanitarian services.

The Church is God's Household and Garden; a place where souls are added for salvation: a place where trees of righteousness are raised; even the plantings of the Lord 🌴
